I want to help you get started and have the best possible experience with your first few litters with one of my pups.  For the first ___ breedings of this dog, I (Dale Malony) must be involved in the selection of and must approve of the dogs to be mated, prior to the fact.

The buyer will be responsible for all care and training as if the dog were 100% owned when the dog is in the possession of of the buyer.  As co-owner, I may take temporary possession of the dog for the purpose of showing, breeding, or training.  This dog may only be bred with my prior consent and approval of each specific mate, and only after hips and elbows have been satisfactorily evaluated.  The dog may not be spayed or neutered without my consent.  

For females I retain the right to keep or sell one pup from each litter that is cared for by the buyer - stud fee paid for by co-owner.  If I care for the litter and provide the stud or pay the stud fee, the co-owner has the right to keep or sell one pup.  For males, stud fees are to be split 50-50.  I will not get into more detail in a contract as I feel the rest of the details should be handled on a friendship basis and will not enter into a co-ownership with anyone that I do not feel I can work amiably with.

These tasks will be written here custom for each buyer.  If you want to show your dog, it will be a good prospect and we'll define that together.  I feel that promising "free of disqualifying faults" is not good enough  as too much time and money are invested before some of these things are learned.  I try my best to pick the best for show and breeding homes.

If you want to track, compete in obedience, agility, flyball, etc, I'll do my best to select a pup that I believe can do it and back it up, but I will only do this for buyers with a proven record of success in these areas.  Too much depends on the handler to make guarantees like this to a novice.

_____  This dog is sold for use as a brood bitch or stud and will be able to be bred successfully.  A bitch will be able to carry a litter to within 1 week of full term and have proper instincts to care for the litter with minimal assistance.  I will not cover loss of fertility due to injury or non-genetic disease.  If the stud or bitch does not meet these expectations, I will either replace the dog or refund 1/2 the purchase price.

OFA Fair or better and PennHIP DI of 0.50 replace OFA Poor and PennHIP DI of 0.70 where stated in the standard contract, meaning hip evaluations should score OFA Fair or better and PennHIP DI 0.50 or better.

American White Shepherd Club, White Shepherd Club of Canada, United White Shepherd Club, or White German Shepherd Dog Club of America.

I no longer recognize the WGSDCII as a viable club representative of the white GSD, for their leadership has either driven out or expelled nearly every respectable member of the WS / white GSD community.  I will not sell a dog to anyone who is only a member of the WGSDCII unless the individual is also a member of the WGSDCA, nor to anyone in a leadership position with the WGSDCII.

Buyer agrees to refuse to breed any Steel Magnolia dog or sell any puppies from any Steel Magnolia dog with any dog owned or co-owned by anyone who is a member of the WGSDCII but not also a member of WGSDCA, or anyone in a leadership position with the WGSDCII.
