4-9-2006 - All puppies from our C-litter are with their permanent homes now.

I chose a silver-sable GSD to sire this litter.  He carries the white recessive gene, which is primarily what makes the difference genetically between a German Shepherd and a White Shepherd.  I'm VERY excited about the potential of this breeding!!!  The sire is "Shewanas Captain Courageous."

Jessica (left) is also of my breeding almost 4 years ago.  She's just on this page because she's cute and there's more to life than dogs.

I began to research using Skipper after being blown away by a stunning white male pup named Wyatt that he produced with another white factored female GSD from Shewana Shepherds.  Wyatt has extremely obvious confidence, outstanding structure, and the most masculine head I've ever seen on a White Shepherd puppy.  Hopefully we'll see similar traits in this litter.

Shewana's is a large, established, and highly reputable kennel that charges far higher prices for their dogs than any White Shepherd breeder I know of.  Despite the 40 hours spent driving round trip twice and stud fee sticker shock, I fully expect this breeding to reap great rewards for not just my breeding program, but for the White Shepherd long term.

Unfortunately I only have scanned pictures from a disposable film camera, so please forgive me for the photo quality.  Here is Skipper - "Shewanas Captain Courageous"  hips are OFA "Good" and elbows OFA normal -  at 57 months !!

Skipper has an old-fashioned German structure that is more square than most western GSD, and very compatible with what serious White Shepherd breeders prefer.  His coat is very thick and longer than that of many whites, but not "plush."  But most impressive is his solid confidence and the excellant temperament of the pups he produces.

Here are 7 of the 10 pups.  We have 8 GIRLS and 2 BOYS.  3 are white, 3 are likely "gold-sable", and 4 are "black and silver."
